We use only implant-grade metals that meet industry safety standards. Here's a quick guide to our options:

316L Surgical Steel

  • Implant-grade, durable, and commonly used
  • Contains traces of nickel — not recommended for those with metal sensitivities

ASTM F136 Titanium

  • Nickel-free, biocompatible, and lightweight
  • Ideal for sensitive skin or allergy-prone clients
  • Available as an upgrade (see pricing on booking page)
  • Highly recommended for first-time piercings where metal reactions are unknown.

Not sure which option is right for you? We’re happy to help you choose the best fit at your appointment.

Piercing Jewelry

Jewelry Materials

Piercing Jewelry

All piercing service prices include carefully selected, basic starter jewelry to support optimal healing. For most piercings, we provide internally threaded 316L surgical steel jewelry. (The exception is lobe piercings, which use push-in style flat back.)

We include jewelry in our pricing to be completely transparent about your costs, you’ll know exactly what you’re paying from the start.

We choose starter jewelry that helps prevent common problems like snagging on hair or irritating your skin. It’s made to keep you comfortable and support healing. Plus, since piercings need to be downsized as they heal, using our basic jewelry is a good reminder to take that important step for a smooth recovery.

Downsizing

Jewelry Materials

Piercing Jewelry

All piercings need to be downsized, typically around the 2-month mark, but some sooner. Check your aftercare for timing for your piercing.

Downsizing is an important part of the healing process and helps prevent irritation, bumps, or shifting.

  • A quick follow-up appointment is required
  • New, shorter jewelry must be purchased (not included in original price) or you can provide your own
  • This is the time to switch to jewelry you love — any style can be chosen now as long as it’s still an implant-grade metal

Be sure to plan ahead for this step, downsizing is essential for long-term healing.
